These snapshots make this mama's heart so happy!
As much as I love photography, it's impossible for me to take pictures of our little family or of myself so I rarely get photos of the three (four!) of us together. You might remember my birthday wish this past year was to have family photos taken!
So I began my search for someone to take family/maternity pictures for us. {The photographers in our area are very pricey and way out of our budget so having them done locally wasn't really an option.}
It worked out that we were headed home to Pennsylvania for my brother in law's graduation at the end of June so I contacted Jessi since I knew she was in the Lancaster area. We went to middle and high school together, but have recently connected through our blogs. {She blogs over at The Vintage Canvas and has three adorable boys!} I was so excited that she was available to take our pictures so we scheduled our session for sunset on the day we were arriving in town and prayed for good weather!
The Lord was so gracious and we had the most gorgeous weather possible! :) Not too hot and absolutely perfect lighting!
So without further adieu, here are just a few...
Okay, maybe A LOT of my favorites from our evening at the Pinnacle!
Okay, maybe A LOT of my favorites from our evening at the Pinnacle!
I went with a more casual look than I did for Londyn Grace's maternity shoot basing our color scheme (gray, peach & mint!) off of a skirt that Daniel's mom (Grammy) bought for LG and a vintage blanket that I borrowed from my mama (Mimi). I borrowed my mama's mint bubble necklace, too! :)
I just love how the pictures under the peach afghan turned out!
After getting several family shots, she took a few of just Daniel and I that I will cherish for years to come! Five years ago this month, I heard him whisper those three little words for the first time and now I have the privilege of being his wife and carrying his babies! I am so blessed!
He is such an incredible Daddy to Londyn Grace and I can't wait to see him with his son!
The next one is definitely one of my favorites from the night!
I'm also thrilled that she got several with just me and my girl! The last twenty one months have been so precious as we've had pretty much every day together!
But we are so excited about meeting her little brother!
Pregnancy is so different the second time around! You know so much more about what to expect so you're not quite as anxious, but at the same time it's no less amazing and the thought of a little life growing inside of you is still so humbling. I am so thankful for the blessing of pregnancy and motherhood.
We so enjoyed our session with Jessi and how casual and relaxed it was. The breathtaking view definitely added to the evening!
The next picture is just amazing!! She is so talented!
We did shots similar to the following ones during Londyn Grace's maternity shoot so I wanted to recreate them for Liam's as well!
Her expression in this one cracks me up!
Well if you've stuck with me through all of these and are still reading, I'll end with a few more of our little family!
These photographs will always remind me of this sweet season as a family of three and of the excitement and anticipation of the upcoming arrival of our baby boy!
We can't wait to meet you, sweet Liam! It's so surreal that our next family session will be as a family of four!
Thanks again, Jessi, for doing such an incredible job! I will cherish these images for years to come!
Oh my goodness! These pictures are amazing!! So excited for your family. You are beautiful! What treasures!
ReplyDeleteThese are soooo good! I would have to get them all enlarged! :o)
