Thirty Three Weeks...

How Far Along: 33 weeks!

Size of baby: Our sweet girl is the size of a durian fruit. (Anyone know what in the world a durian fruit is? :) )

Maternity clothes: My choices are getting fewer, but that’s okay because it means we’re getting closer to meeting our baby girl!

Gender: it’s a girl!!!!! ... Londyn Grace

Movement: Wow! This week Daniel has been able to see my belly shaking several times when Londyn moves! It’s crazy! She is a busy girl!

Sleep: Sleeping better this week!

What I miss: Being able to go up and down the stairs without feeling exhausted! Living in a two story house is wearing me out! :)

Cravings: Nothing specific, but my sweet hubby took me to Sonic the other night for dessert, and I thoroughly enjoyed my Batter Blast! Ice cream + cookie dough +brownie batter = DELISH!!

Symptoms: A little bit of heartburn and slight back pain, but overall feeling fabulous for being 33 weeks pregnant! We feel very blessed with how healthy I’ve been throughout this pregnancy and praise the Lord for His goodness thus far!

Best Moment(s) this Week:
  • Definitely my surprise shower in Maryland on Monday night!!!! Daniel worked really hard to keep it a secret considering I have a tendency to be really nosey! :) My wonderful sister, brother in law, Mama, Daddy and cousin, Briana, worked really hard preparing everything, and it was AMAZING! I am in the middle of typing a post with pictures and details! Londyn received SO many gifts and is clearly spoiled already! :)
  • Being able to see my little cousin, Alyssa, (or Chicken as I affectionately call her! :) ) off on her first day of Kindergarten. She was 5 months old when my family started keeping her, and somehow she’s 5 years old and going to school all day this year! She’s growing up way too fast!
Looking Ahead:

* Our birthing instructor had to reschedule our last class so we will finish up on September 10th.

* Lord willing and weather permitting, we have our maternity photo session scheduled for Saturday afternoon! I am SO excited about capturing this season in our lives before little Miss Londyn girl arrives!

* My parents are coming on Monday! I am SO looking forward to working on and decorating Londyn's nursery with them!

Thirty Two Weeks...

Size of baby: Our baby girl is the size of a squash!

Maternity clothes: My sweet Mama bought me today’s dress a few months ago. I had planned to wear it for our maternity pictures, but since we’re doing them in September, I wanted something not as summery so I wore it for church today!

Gender: it’s a girl!!!!! ... Londyn Grace

Movement: Because she’s getting bigger, she’s moving less, but when she does her movements are strong! She's been pretty busy today though! :)

Sleep: Had a few nights this week where I was awake a lot, mostly just because I was thinking about everything that needs to be done, labor, delivery, etc., etc., etc.

What I miss: Nothing, just enjoying these last few weeks of pregnancy. It really has flown by! I can’t believe she’s almost here!

Cravings: Nothing specific, but kinda having an aversion to raw chicken which is weird because I haven’t been like that at all this pregnancy! For some reason it's just seemed gross lately!

Symptoms: The heartburn has been less this week :) but my feet have been a bit swollen. Overall though, I’m still feeling really good!

Best Moment(s) this Week:
  • Our appointment with our midwife! Everything is still looking good! Londyn’s heartbeat is strong and  I’m measuring right where I should be! My blood pressure is still good, too!
  • Having our first birthing class. It was really informative! We are glad we opted for a private class here at home. We both felt like it was helpful and is going to prepare us well for the big day! We have another session this coming Thursday night.
  • Finishing the lamp shade and the letters for her name. I am dying to get this nursery finished!
  • We are praising the Lord for the His protection. Last night, Daniel and I were driving home late in our church’s 15 passenger van. We had taken our teens to a Back to School Rally and had just finished dropping the last one off at his house when a drunk driver pulled out in front of us. We didn’t have time enough time to stop before we collided with his car. His car was pretty smashed up, but he fled the scene anyway. Thankfully, a man behind us got his tag number and because we were in a larger vehicle, we didn’t feel much of the impact. I was shaken and scared for Londyn’s safety. The policeman was wonderful and had the EMT’s come to check me just for my peace of mind. They assured me everything was fine. My blood pressure was good, and I was feeling her movements so that made me feel better! We know it could’ve been much worse and feel extremely blessed that all 3 of us came out of it unharmed!

Thirty One Weeks...

How far along: 31 weeks

Size of baby: Our sweet girl is the size of a squash.

Maternity clothes: When we were picking up a few things from Babies R Us last night, my sweet hubby took me over to their Motherhood Maternity section and let me pick out the dress I’m wearing in today’s picture!

Gender: it’s a girl!!!!! ... Londyn Grace

Movement: She has been moving constantly! I’m loving it!

Sleep: Still sleeping well!

What I miss: Family back in Maryland.

Cravings: Still not as hungry as I’ve been in weeks past, maybe, because she’s taking up more room in there?

Symptoms: Heartburn and more heartburn!

Best Moment(s) this Week:

  • Spending the last four days in Maryland! It was so good to be with family since I won’t be able to travel that far soon with Londyn’s due date nearing.
  • Shopping for Londyn’s nursery with my Mama, Mom Mom, Aunt and Sister! I have pretty much everything I need with the exception of an area rug and a few odds and ends for storage.
  • Seeing Londyn’s bedding completed! My Mom Mom and my Mama worked SO hard on it, especially putting the ruffles on the skirt! It is exactly what I pictured! To say I love it is definitely an understatement! I will post pictured soon!
  • Spending the day yesterday with my parents and hubby! We had dinner together last night before Daniel and I headed back to Jersey.

The week ahead:

We have our 32 week appointment tomorrow morning and then start our birthing class tomorrow afternoon! I am excited and nervous! I want to retain  what is taught so I’m as prepared for labor as I can be!

I want to work in the nursery tomorrow evening. Hopefully, we can assemble the crib so I can put her bedding on!

I have a few projects to do for her room. I bought vintage Beatrix Potter book pages on etsy and need to frame them. I have a lamp shade I want to cover and need to finish the letters in her name to hang behind the crib!

We are just over 50 days until her due date so I need to get busy! My goal is to have the nursery finished within the next few weeks!

Thirty Weeks...

How far along: 30 weeks!

Size of baby: Our sweet girl is the size of a cucumber.

Maternity clothes: Even some of my maternity clothes are getting a little snug when stretched over my growing belly! Hopefully they'll last another 10 weeks!

Gender: it’s a girl!!!!! ... Londyn Grace

Movement: She had hiccups for the first time this week! It was so precious! I could feel them from the inside, but they weren’t strong enough for Daniel to feel from the outside. She’s had them twice since last Sunday night when I felt them initially. I asked my midwife about them and she said they’re actually a sign of good neurological development and of her preparing to breathe outside the womb.

Her movements are so strong now! I tell Daniel she must have her Daddy’s elbows because she’s always jabbing me! :) (I’m feeling her as I type this!)

Sleep: Still sleeping well!

What I miss: My sweet grandfather who went Home to be with Jesus this week.  We went to Maryland after VBS Wednesday night for his memorial service on Thursday. I miss him so, but rejoice that he is free from the pain and suffering he dealt with for many years.

Cravings: Not feeling as hungry as I have been.

Symptoms: Still having heartburn at night, but other than that I’m feeling great!

Best Moment(s) this Week:

* Hearing her heartbeat at my appointment on Monday!!! It never gets old!!!

* Finding out that I passed my glucose test and that my other bloodwork was normal!

* My grandmother and my sister feeling Londyn move on Thursday!

* Going through a tote that my Mama had saved from when I was a baby and finding several things I want to use/display in Londyn’s nursery!

Twenty Nine Weeks...

How far along: 29 weeks!

Size of baby: Our sweet girl is the size of a squash!
Maternity clothes: Scored the dress in today’s picture for 8 bucks at Target! It’s hard to find maternity clothes on clearance so I was so excited to find it!
Gender: it’s a girl!!!!! ... Londyn Grace
Movement:I can definitely tell that she is growing because her movements are so much more noticeable!
Sleep: I’ve been sleeping really well!
What I miss: Being able to get up and down easily!
Cravings: Still loving a bowl of ice cream for dessert after dinner!
Symptoms: I’ve only had heartburn a few times this week which is an improvement from last week! I’m so grateful for how good I’m feeling.
Best Moment(s) this Week:
*Getting my glucose test over with! It wasn’t as bad as I expected and we’ll find out the results tomorrow at my appointment.
The week ahead:
*Tomorrow, we have an appointment with my midwife so I’m looking forward to hearing our sweet girl’s heartbeat again! Then we’ll be busy at church every night with VBS. Next week Daniel will be at church camp while I spend a few days in Maryland. After this, we’ll be able to start on Londyn’s nursery! I think my “nesting” is kicking in because I am so anxious to get it done and feel like we’re at least physically prepared for her!

A Sweet Blog Award!

My sweet blog friend, Elenie, gave our blog an award! She found our blog a few months ago during a expectant mom link-up over at Kelly's Korner! Our due dates are only a week apart so it's been so fun following her journey!

Liebster is a German word and it means, sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome. The award is given to followers with less than 200 followers.

These are the questions that Elenie gave me to answer!

1.) Where was your first date with your hubby? On our first date, we went out to dinner, and then played miniature golf. It was very casual, but we ended up sitting at a picnic table and talking for awhile after we played! It was over 3 years ago, but I remember that day clearly even down to what I wore! :)
2.) What is your favorite movie? I’m not really a tv or movie watcher, but I love all of the films from Sherwood Pictures, Facing the Giants, Fireproof and Courageous.
3.) Do you have any special talents? If so, what are they? I’m not sure I’d consider them “special” but I do love to write. Before we got married, I wrote devotional type posts almost daily and posted them on my personal blog. I also love to sing and have sung with my family for several years in a Southern Gospel group!
4.) How long have you been blogging? Why do you like to blog? I started my personal blog in 2008 when I was single as a place to share what the Lord was doing in my life and in my study of His Word. I started this blog as a way for our families to stay connected with our life after we moved to New Jersey where my husband pastors. I like blogging because I love writing and also because it’s connected me with so many sweet friends!
5.) Do you like to cook? If so, what is your favorite recipe? I do enjoy cooking, but still lack confidence when doing so! I'm always waiting to see what Daniel thinks of dinner! He always has something sweet to say about it!  My favorite meal to make is chicken parmesan!
6.) Pepsi or Coke? It was always Pepsi in our house growing up, but Daniel is a Coke drinker!
7.) If you could go back in time to one moment in your life, what moment would you pick? Even though our wedding day was only 7 months ago, I’d love to experience it again! It was beyond perfect!!
8.) How many children do you have/ would you like to have? I'm 29 weeks pregnant with  our sweet Londyn girl who will be here in eleven weeks (give or take a few)! We will be thrilled with whatever number of children the Lord sees fit to bless us with! Maybe 5 or 6? :)
9.) What is the one beauty product you absolutely can’t live without? Bare Minerals make up! It’s pricey, but I haven’t found anything that compares!
10.) Name three things in your purse right now. 1.) my Vera Bradley wallet that Daniel got me for my birthday last year 2.) Bath and Body Works lip gloss 3.) my keys
11.) Did you or do you play any sports? If so, what? Um, I am about as far from athletic as they come! So, no!

These are the blogs I'm giving an award to:

Kara at Kara's Kolumn
Jessi at Joy Unspeakable
