Twenty Eight Weeks!!!

How far along: 28 weeks! Hello Third Trimester! :)

Size of baby: Our sweet girl is the size of an eggplant! She is growing, growing, growing these days, gaining weight and preparing to meet us in just 12 weeks!

Maternity clothes: My sweet hubby took me to the mall for dinner, ice cream and a new skirt on Friday night! Hence the new skirt in today’s picture!
Gender: it’s a girl!!!!! ... Londyn Grace
Movement: I’m loving her movement more and more! We were at a conference this week, and I think she liked the choir because she would start moving every time they sang!
Sleep: The body pillow is still helping, only getting up once or twice to use the bathroom.
What I miss: Nothing this week, really focusing on enjoying this last trimester!
Cravings: ice cream!
Symptoms: lots of heartburn, but other than that still doing really well!
Best Moment(s) this Week:
* Making it to the third trimester! I can’t believe how close we are to her arrival! I am praising God for a healthy 28 weeks and asking Him for His blessing on the next 12!
* Attending the conference and gleaning wisdom from the speakers! I went to several sessions on balancing family and ministry and training children. The Lord really used the daily sessions and the preaching each night to challenge and help me!
* Finding the paint for Londyn’s nursery in the Oops section at Home Depot! It’s the exact pink I was wanting, and it was only seven bucks (Behr paint and primer in one, originally $30 a gallon!)! Her Daddy is planning to start painting this week.
* Hearing her Daddy talk to her still gets me every time!
The week ahead:
My precious grandfather is nearing the end of his race. He has battled dementia for the last few years, and it looks like his mansion’s almost ready. We will head to Maryland tomorrow after church. I am praying for the opportunity to see him one more time this side of Heaven, but either way I’m so grateful for the Hope we have in Jesus assuring us that we’ll meet again in Heaven someday! We will have to return to Jersey on Monday night, for my glucose test on Tuesday morning. I am praying all will be well with the results.

Twenty Seven Weeks...

How far along: 27 weeks!

Size of baby: I had my weekly emails confused last week so this is the week that she is the size of a rutabaga. Last week, she was the size of a head of lettuce.

Maternity clothes: I’m wearing my last Cato purchase in today’s picture.
Gender: it’s a girl!!!!! ... Londyn Grace
Movement: She is busy throughout the day! I treasure every time I feel her move!
Sleep: I’ve slept better this week thanks to my new body pillow! It has helped in finding a comfortable position!
What I miss: Being able to bend down easily and lift things! There’s so much I want to get done around the house and in her nursery during the day while Daniel’s at the church but now I can’t do it alone!
Cravings: Chocolate, but that’s common when I’m not pregnant!
Symptoms: The frequent nose bleeds and the side pains have both lessened this week. I’m feeling really good!
Best Moment(s) this Week:
* My visit with the midwife this past Tuesday! We got to hear our sweet girl’s heartbeat again! It is still strong and healthy! My blood pressure and measurements are also right on track! We continue to praise the Lord for a healthy baby and pregnancy thus far!

*My parents’ surprise visit on Thursday afternoon! I was in the kitchen getting ready to make lunch when there was a knock at the door. Daniel told me to get it (he knew they were coming), and when I did there stood my Mama and Daddy! They ended up taking me out to lunch and spending the afternoon here in Jersey before heading back to Maryland.

*Only paying $25 for a dresser and nightstand for Londyn’s nursery! We originally thought that each piece was $25, but then found out the price was for both! I plan to use the dresser as the changing table as well. I will post a picture of them soon! They are in great condition, and I can’t wait to see how they look in the completed nursery! The Lord is continually providing for us!

Twenty Six Weeks...

Size of baby: Our baby girl is the size of a rutabaga (not really sure I’ve ever seen one but that’s what my weekly email said so we’ll go with it!) I think she had a growth spurt last night because I could see my feet before I went to bed and today I only see belly when I look down! :) So grateful for a growing belly which means a growing baby!

Maternity clothes: My sweet Mama got me the dress I’m wearing in today’s picture!
Gender: it’s a girl!!!!! ... Londyn Grace
Movement: She’s not really following the pattern of movement she had been for awhile. Now her movements are throughout the day!
Sleep: I’ve been waking up a lot more this week. Partially because I’m thinking about all that needs to be done before she comes and partially because it’s getting harder to find a comfortable position!
What I miss: Being able to bend down easily!
Cravings: Nothing specific, but I have been starving this week! I feel like all I do is eat!
Symptoms: Still having frequent nose bleeds and have had some aches and pains on the sides of my belly. I guess it’s just from the growing/stretching. But overall I’m feeling great!
Best Moment(s) this Week:
  • Finally finding some fabric I like for Londyn’s crib bedding! As soon as it comes we can go get the paint for her nursery! You can see a picture of the fabric via my pinterest account! Just click here!
  • Scoring the same rocking chair/ottoman that we saw at Babies R Us for $600 for $50! I really wanted one for nursing at night, but they were way out of our price range. I was looking on Craigslist  this week and found one listed for $60 or best offer. After emailing with the lady that owned it, we were able to go look at it on Friday night! I made an offer and she took $5o for it! It is SO comfortable and I love the sage green color! It will pair well with the sage green of the leaves in the floral pattern of the fabric we bought! The Lord is always providing! I hardly ever check Craigslist and she said she had just listed it shortly before I emailed! The timing was perfect! He is SO good!

Twenty Five Weeks...

How far along: 25 weeks!

Size of baby: Our sweet babe is the size of a cauliflower!

Maternity clothes: Today’s outfit was also purchased at Cato! Love that store!
Gender: it’s a girl!!!!! ... Londyn Grace
Movement: Yesterday she was moving and kicking constantly! She must be exhausted because I've only felt her a few times today! Some of her movements are now strong enough to be visible by watching my belly! It’s so strange to watch!
Sleep: I’ve slept well for the last few days!
What I miss: Family back home! After spending this past week with them, it was hard saying goodbye yesterday!
Cravings: Still nothing specific, but the Marylander in me loved having crabs on the fourth!
Symptoms: Feeling good and very blessed! I do have frequent nose bleeds and had some leg cramps again one night this week, but nothing too serious!
Best Moment(s) this Week:
* My Dad feeling Londyn kick! Can’t wait to see him with his first granddaughter! He’s already had lots of practice with girls since it’s just my sister and me in our family! We used to joke that even our dog was a girl! He’s always been outnumbered!
*Celebrating my sweet hubby’s 29th birthday on Friday! I am so grateful for the godly guy I was blessed to marry 7 months ago! He truly is my Prince Charming!
*Getting to see family on the 4th and spend the rest of the week in MD/PA!
*Getting a few things from family for Londyn this week! She’s already spoiled!
* Finding that Londyn’s Gender Reveal Photo Book had arrived in the mail while we were away! I love how it turned out!
To Do: Wow! The countdown until my due date is now in the double digits! I feel like we have so much to do before she comes! I need to spend the next few weeks getting organized.
I’ve been searching for crib bedding, but the few sets I’ve found that are close to what I’m picturing are way too pricey! I’m thinking I may buy the fabric and  have my grandmother make some for me!
This week, we also have to schedule childbirth classes and add a few more things to her registry.

Twenty Four Weeks...

How far along: 24 weeks

(I'm actually 25 weeks today but wanted to get this picture and info posted for my reference! All of this information and the picture is from this past week!)

Size of baby: Our precious little girl is the size of a cantaloupe!

Maternity clothes: Got the dress I’m wearing in today’s picture at one of my favorite clothing stores, Cato! We don't have any in MD or close to us in Jersey so it's always a treat to stop at several on our way to North Carolina. I was going to save it for our Maternity pictures which we hope to have done in a few weeks, but I changed my mind!
Gender: it’s a girl!!!!! ... Londyn Grace

Movement: These days I am counting the minutes between her movements! She has pretty much established a pattern of moving around 1 or 2 in the afternoon and then being very busy from 9:00 until 11:00 or so!
Sleep: Sleeping pretty well! I have been dealing with a bit of heartburn though!
What I miss: Being able to lift things without help and move as quickly as I used to, but it’s all worth it!
Cravings: Nothing really specific this week! I did get to eat at one of my favorite BBQ places in NC! So good!
Symptoms: Still feeling really good! I was able to make the 8+ hour trip to and from my parents house to North Carolina with no problems!
Best Moment(s) this Week:
* My Mama and my favorite five year old were able to feel Little Miss Londyn kick this week! Alyssa’s face was so precious! Then she started counting how many times she felt it and “racing” my Mama to see who could feel her the most! She is too funny! She “won the race” with seven times while my Mama had four!
* Spending the last few days with family on vacation in North Carolina! The weather was beautiful and we made some great memories! Can’t believe we’ll have our little girl with us next year!
