25 & 26 weeks with our baby boy!

Wow! It's so hard to believe that I am closing out the second trimester this week. Little Liam's due date is three short months from this Sunday and if he follows in his sister's footsteps, he could be here in less than that! Ah! Crazy yet exciting!

Well no weekly chalkboard picture again this week since the person I bought my new (to me!) camera from on eBay decided to take all week to ship! I am just relieved that they finally did because $300 is a lot of money to lose! I probably shouldn't have taken the risk of making such a big purchase online, but a brand new camera was not in the budget so buying used was my only option. I am dying to get it in my hands and capture some new memories!

Anyway, here's my bumpdate for weeks 25 and 26!

an instagram bump picture will have to do!
Size of Baby:  Liam not weighs about 1 2/3 pounds and measures 14 inches from head to heel.

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  Finally got on the scale. Ugh. Maybe I shouldn't have! I'm up almost 30 pounds!! Looks like I'm on track to gain as much as I did with LG. I know I am eating better and I am definitely more active than I was when I was expecting her so I am thinking this is just how my body responds to pregnancy. Nursing will do wonders in a few months! (At least it did with Londyn Grace so I'm hoping that's the case again!)

Maternity Clothes: Still mostly my pre-pregnancy maxi skirts for church and going out and about. At home, mostly just my comfy clothes.

Gender:  It's a BOY!! Our sweet Liam Daniel :)

Movement: He let his Daddy feel him move last week!

Sleep:  Sleeping pretty well!

What I miss:  Nothing! Pregnancy is such a wonderful thing!

Cravings: Feeling hungry, but not really knowing what I want! Weird!

Symptoms: The nosebleeds and heartburn have lessened over the last two weeks. Having a little back pain and had my first charlie horse the other morning. I got them a lot with LG. Overall feeling really well and really thankful!

Best moment this week: Definitely when Daddy felt his baby boy move for the first time!

And just the everyday moments like cooking breakfast with a baby on my hip and a baby in my belly! I am so blessed to be living my dream! Thank You, Lord!

Mother's Day 2014

I don't have nearly as many pictures as I would like from Mother's Day, but I've already cried about my beloved Canon Rebel in my last post so I'll refrain.

After we had our oatmeal and LG had her bath, I dressed her in the sweetest little baby blue dress with a peter pan collar and then put on my new maxi skirt which also happened to be blue!

Yes, cheesy, I know, but she's only small enough not care that she's matching her mama for a little while, right?!

It was finally warm enough not to have to wear tights. I just love her little legs with socks and dress shoes!

Then we headed back downstairs so I could snap a few pictures before church.

She obliged which was in itself a Mother's Day gift to this picture loving mama! :)

We had been working on getting her to say "Happy Mother's Day!" so I also shot a quick video!

I just love her little voice!

She is talking so much these days!

After church, two of the teens took these for us! I didn't know that they would be the last pictures taken before the juice incident, but I am so thankful that the memory card was spared from the liquid in the spill!

I will treasure these pictures forever!

It's hard to believe how much she has grown since last Mother's Day,

and that next year I'll have two babies in my arms!

Being a mom has always been my dream and the Lord has truly given me the desire of my heart!

I am so blessed to call these little ones mine!

23 and 24 weeks with Liam Daniel

Looks like these bumpdates are becoming a biweekly thing! Tomorrow marks 25 weeks along with our baby boy! Even though I've yet to hold him in my arms, I feel so blessed to be his mama! I can already tell that his temperament is much different than his big sister's, and I'm excited to see what he will add to our family in just a few months.

So here's the info for the last two weeks, but minus my weekly chalkboard pictures. Last week, my camera was having issues focusing and all the pictures I would take turned out blurry. Thankfully, it seemed that it was only an issue with my lens and not my camera itself, so I've been using my zoom lens instead and it has been working fine.

I was planning to take my 24 week picture today, but I've had yet another and seemingly more permanent camera problem. This afternoon I discovered that Londyn Grace's sippy cup of orange juice had leaked out in the diaper bag and all over my camera. My heart sank, but I hoped it would flash on as I flipped the switch. Nope. No such luck. Daniel has tried pretty much everything and it doesn't seem to be coming back to life. I've had it for nearly 6 years and it has taken literally thousands of pictures, but unfortunately it doesn't seem that it will be taking any more.

Ugh. Anyway...

23 and 24 weeks with Liam...

Size of Baby:  Our little man is about the size of an ear of corn. I feel like I'm as big now as I was with LG at much farther along, but I guess that's common with second pregnancies!

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  I should weigh in, but just haven' t had an extra second to get on the scale! :)

Maternity Clothes: Loving and living in maxi skirts! I do need to get a few tanks that are a little longer so they'll do a better job of covering the belly!

not a side view, but the last picture taken before the orange juice incident!
24 weeks 6 days with Liam Daniel!
Gender:  It's a BOY!! Our sweet Liam Daniel :)

Movement: Finally moving a bit more than he was!

Sleep:  Sleeping pretty well. Usually have heartburn as soon as I lay down, but a few tums do the trick!

What I miss:  Nothing! Pregnancy is such a wonderful thing!

Cravings: Sweets, but really trying to do better than I did when I was pregnant with LG.

Symptoms: The nosebleeds have lessened, but the heartburn is still a nightly occurrence. Overall feeling really well and really thankful!

Best moment this week:  Decorating the nursery and seeing his crib set up and ready for his arrival. It seemed to make it a little more real! :)

Londyn Grace is 19 Months old!

Our last month in the teens. Time is seriously flying!

Londyn Grace turned 19 months old this past Saturday!

She is becoming such a big girl! Weighing in at 22 pounds and measuring 31.5 inches tall, she is mostly wearing 18 month clothing! She still fits in most of her 12 month stuff and 9 month onesies still snap, but 18 months fit best. She's kind of in between shoe sizes which is making shoe shopping difficult. Her 4s are a little snug, but 5s are still too big.

She had her 18 month appointment a few weeks ago and the doctor was pleased even surprised at how well she is doing especially verbally and socially! He said that the way she interacted with him was more like an almost 3 year old than an almost 2 year old and he was impressed by her language skills.

This month she has added lots of words to her vocabulary!  So many that it's hard to keep up! Some of the new additions include:

Juice
Water
Socks
Flowers
Bubbles
Bed
Earrings
Rings
Necklace
Daddy (instead of Dada)
Ride (for her Cozy Coupe or a silly song about a car on YouTube)
Slide
Bath
Yogurt
Noodles
Ba-ba (any cup or bottle...not sure where that came from since she never took a bottle?)
Potty
Puppy
"Meow"
"Roar"
Snack
Letters
Thank You
You can see the lists from the last two months here. She's saying over 60 words now!

One of her biggest accomplishments this month was moving to a big girl bed! She absolutely loves it and even slept through the night in it the first night! She loves to sit on her bed and look at books with her babies!

Since the switch, if she does wake up, her Daddy just goes in tucks her in again and tells her to go back to sleep, and she does! She's been going to bed between 8:30 -9:00 and waking between 6:00 - 7:00. She's taking one good nap a day that typically lasts around two hours.

At the beginning of last month, I mentioned how she was showing interest in the potty. She did well for a few days and since has started fussing and crying when I sit her on it. Hopefully, we can tackle it in force force this month. I'd really like her to be trained by the time Liam arrives!

As far as eating goes, we've seemed to regress a bit this month. Breakfast is still her best meal. Her go-to favorites include pancakes, oatmeal and yogurt. She usually has yogurt with either the pancakes or oatmeal. Lunch has been a real challenge lately. She only takes a few bites of whatever is on her plate and then doesn't want anymore and is now doing the same with dinner, but she's gaining weight and growing so that makes me feel a little better! She loves apple and orange juice! For snacks for likes Cheerios, fruit snacks,  granola bars, applesauce and goldfish. She's still nursing to sleep at naptime and bedtime.

She's been working on her bottom canine teeth for what seems like ages and we can finally see them getting ready to break through! That had made for some fussy days, but overall is she still our happy, social, sweet Goosey!

She absolutely LOVES to sing! She knows the motions and some of the words to The Wheels on the Bus, The Itsy Bitsy Spider, Running Over, Deep and Wide and This Little Light of Mine. Her favorite parts of The Wheels on the Bus are "swish! swish! swish!" and "wah! wah! wah!" Though still not a fan of watching tv, she loves to watch songs on YouTube. She often makes up her own songs! It is so precious!

She's really taken an interest in books this month and thinks that every letter of the alphabet is a "y!" She still loves to play with her kitchen. She discovered the fun that is watching mama blow bubbles and is finally getting to enjoy being outside since it's warming up and staying light out longer! She experienced sidewalk chalk for the first time and loves to draw with it.
her reaction to mama blowing bubbles! :)

I'm so looking forward to this month and getting to spend more time in the sunshine!

Londyn Grace is such a big helper! She loves to throw trash away, help me put dirty clothes in the laundry, and is pretty good about putting her toys away when I ask her to!

She's still very attached to Mama, but has fun staying at home with Daddy on Tuesday nights when I go to Bible Study. She does cry when I leave since its the only hour and a half we are apart all week, but it doesn't take her long to calm down and play.

I've kept the list of new things she does and says going so here it is for this month:

April 5 - you took Auntie M's clip and started hiding it from her behind your back and laughing

April 8 - I was preparing for a vintage sale and you were being such a big helper! I asked you to bring me a blanket, a box and the tape measure and you did!

You slept through the night in your crib two nights in a row!

April 10 - you were in your carseat singing and I could make out "mine" and "no" and realized you were singing this little light of mine all on your own!

Daddy put you in your crib awake without rocking and you fell asleep on your own.

April 11 - you were a big hit at Great Aunt Nadine's nursing home! You were so friendly!

April 14 - you asked to sit on the potty twice!

You sang and did the motions to "Deep & Wide" for auntie on FaceTime

April 15 - you went poo poo in the potty twice

April 16 - you picked up my laptop cord and wanted me to plug it in!

April 19 - you went to your first Easter egg hunt and loved meeting the Easter bunny!

April 23 - we were getting ready to leave for the store so I asked you to go find your shoes while I brushed my teeth. When I came out of the bathroom, I thought you'd still be in your room looking for them, but you were halfway down the stairs, shoes in hand!

April 24 - You said "flowers!" as soon as we came out on the porch and you saw mamas new hanging basket!

April 25 - We went to Hershey's chocolate world with Grammy, Grandpap, Uncle Ben, Uncle Matt, Aunt Rebekah & baby Sonya. You loved every minute! The chocolate ride (and free sample at the end), the 4-D show, making your own chocolate bar with Grammy and Grandpap, but your favorite was throwing pennies into the waterfall in the food court!

April 26 - you were playing with your Easter eggs when Daddy noticed you using a small basket to pick them up and put them into your bucket

April 27 - you said thank you on your own after I gave you animal crackers

April 29 - you sat on the counter while I chopped veggies for chicken noodle soup and "helped!"'

You puckered up and kissed Daddy back when he kissed you from across the room

You learned the motions to "Itsy Bitsy Spider!"

April 30 - you were so so excited about your new big girl bed while mommy was painting it!

May 1 - You couldn't quite figure out what we were doing when we started taking your room apart to get the new nursery ready, but when we put your bed together, you loved it! Kept climbing in and out and laughing and smiling, you laid down and snuggled it it! I was nervous about how you would do, but you slept ALL night in it!!

May 2nd - you helped Pop Pop paint the new chalkboard wall in your new room!

This month was full of lots of big girl things like going on the potty and sleeping in her big girl bed, but I love that at the end of the day she still cuddles in my arms and wants me to rock her to sleep. She will always be my baby!

I'm so thankful for the last 19 months with my sweet Lovey Lou!

Shared Nursery for my Babies {Londyn Grace & Liam's Room}

Their room. As soon as I found out we were expecting again, the planner in me started thinking about what we would do about a room for our newest addition. Our house has three bedrooms, but the third is in the attic meaning either LG would be on the third floor or we would move our master back up there leaving the babes on the second without us. I just wasn't comfortable with either of those situations since Londyn Grace is still under two. I don't want to be on another floor with them being so small especially in case of an emergency or if they were to wake in the middle of the night. So all of that to say our littles would be sharing a room. When the blue confetti started flying at the gender reveal that made our shared nursery situation a little more tricky!

So I've been pinning and planning like crazy, imagining a space that was vintage, colorful and perfect for a girl and a boy.

I am so grateful for my Peeling Paint Vintage business! It has made most of what you see in their room possible. The Lord has really blessed it and the extra money for the not so necessary things has been nice!

And of course, my amazing parents took two days to come to Jersey and help me make my vision for the room a reality!

I remember typing the post after finishing Londyn Grace's nursery and mentioning how the Lord was constantly providing for us when it came to the furniture and even finding a gallon of the perfect color paint in the Oops section at Home Depot. Well, it was no different this time around! He did it again!

The wicker dresser and nightstand (that we found at Goodwill for 25 bucks) that worked so perfectly in the once soft, girly room wasn't really going to work for a shared room so I put it up on Craigslist and sold it immediately! I actually ended up making money on it! :)

Replacing the dresser was easy, too! Someone gave my parents a few pieces of vintage furniture a few months ago and the dresser was great for the new space!

My Daddy sanded and painted the inlays on the drawers and we decided to leave the rest the way it was. The cream was a great neutral base with all the other colors going on!

Goodwill didn't disappoint again when we stopped in yesterday! We found the red shelf that was perfect for displaying all the vintage Fisher-Price toys I've been collecting. The globe was supposed to be sold in my shop, but I decided to keep it!

The sweet lamb planter was a Insta-shop purchase.

I'm reusing Londyn Grace's changing pad so I just bought a new cover for it at Target.

On the opposite wall, my parents painted a chalkboard wall. LG had one in her nursery (which is now our master) and loves it so much that I knew I had to include one in the new room.

I choose to go with schoolhouse green this time and love the look! I plan to add an alphabet across the top after it dries completely.

Above it, we hung another shelf so we could display Little Golden Books.

My mama brought the vintage abacus and the gumball machine was another awesome Goodwill find!

Now for sweet Liam's side of the room!

This made me nervous! It was my first time decorating for a boy and I wanted it to be boyish, but
yet "go" with Londyn Grace's side!

I'm really pleased with how our little man's area turned out and had a lot of fun decorating it!

I wanted to tie in Daniel's love of his home state so the Michigan pennant was fitting. I also used a vintage Michigan tag that my parents gave Daniel as a present a few years ago!

The colorful vintage map gives the gallery wall interest! I found it on eBay!

An old Cars and Trucks Little Golden Book and a Fisher Price helicopter sit on the shelf and the antique racquet was the finishing touch!

His crib quilt was an Etsy find that I had on my favorites list for awhile. When I finally decided to go for it, the lady selling it was nothing short of amazing!! She said she was a grandmother who loves babies and gave me an incredible discount on such a beautiful quilt!

The blue and white striped crib sheet was another Target purchase. (Excuse the wrinkles! I did iron it, but it just doesn't appear that way!)

The Jenny Lind style spindle crib was another desire of my heart that the Lord was so gracious to give me!

I found it on Craigslist for $30!!

I originally planned to paint it, but I like the oak look for a boy.

I hung his first sweet little romper up as well!

For Goosey's side, I found a colorful patchwork quilt on Etsy that I also got an incredible deal on! It was listed for a good price, but then the seller noticed a few flaws when packing it to ship. She ended up refunding the part of the purchase price! My grandmother was able to fix the holes easily and it's perfect now! Plus she washed it and it smells like her house which is an aroma with such a sweet memory attached to it!

The toddler bed was a Craiglist find as well! It was only $40 and coordinated with Liam's crib so well! It was a cherry color when we purchased it so I painted it a mint color that I am obsessed with!

I still want to find a few cute pillows for her bed, but right now I put my ring bearer pillow (made from my mama's wedding dress!) there. The crocheted blanket in mint and coral matches her bed and she has claimed it as her favorite blanket!

Her gallery wall isn't quite finished, but so far I hung my baby dress and shoes (which she wore in these pictures), a floral embroidery, framed verse and the Little Golden book "So Big" sits on the small shelf.

Next to her bed is a stack of vintage suitcases used as a table to hold the amazing turquoise fan I scored on eBay, the framed "Babies Don't Keep" poem and her first piece of milk glass that Pop Pop bought for her at an estate sale when I was pregnant.

I'm reusing the same cream area rug that was in LG's nursery and still using the antique carriage for stuffed animals. The red curtains are also from Target!

The highchair from her first birthday party holds an adorable lamp my Mama found! It also winds up and plays music! More books hold a pair of vintage baby boy shoes!

The closet in this room is really big (which is why it was our master) so it will be perfect for both Liam and Londyn Grace's clothes with plenty of room for toy storage as well.

So that's their room! With a lengthy explanation to go with it! :)

Once again the Lord has proven to me that He cares about the little things and we now have a bright and cheerful place for our babies to enjoy all done on a budget and with all of what I pictured in my mind in place!

I'm sure I'll add things in the coming weeks, but overall I am so happy with the result!

I can't believe that our baby boy will join his big sister in it in just a few short months!
