Eight Weeks

How Far Along: 8 Weeks
Size of baby: Our sweet little peanut is the size of a raspberry!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: a lot, but it's okay because it means baby is growing! After losing 12 pounds and safety pinning my skirts for the last year and half, I had to take the pins out yesterday!
I do hope to get back to my Pregnancy exercise DVD this week. The nausea and tiredness have made it difficult, but I know it's very important.
Maternity Clothes: Not yet, but I did snag two maternity jean skirts for CHEAP at thrift stores last week! My sweet Mama bought one for me!
Gender: Daddy really wants a girl. I do too. We'll have to wait until late May to find out!
Movement: still busy growing, no moving yet.
Sleep: Sleeping has been rough. I wake up a lot during the night.
What I miss: Just having the energy to clean the house!
Cravings: Sour candy (Watermelon Sour Patch Kids), salt and vinegar chips, pickles
Symptoms: The nauseousness is lightening up a bit, but I've had a really strange taste in my mouth. I googled it and apparently it's as common as morning sickness! It tastes like I've been sucking on pennies! Yuck! Hopefully it will go away soon!
Best Moment this week: Meeting with the midwife and finding out that we are a week farther along than we thought! Baby is due to arrive around October 12th! We are so excited and so very thankful! Also sharing the news with my favorite five year old (my little cousin, Alyssa)! She is so excited and also wants a girl. She wanted to buy clothes for the baby last week!

  3. I had the metal mouth too and am waking up all night as well! Pregnancy brings all kinds of weirdness! I love that you are due October 12--Caroline was born on the 16th! :) I hope you get more energy soon (though I am still waiting for mine.....) Amanda

  5. I'm pretty sure I won't be allowed to travel so close to my due date, but I was thinking maybe Tony or Tony and Caroline (because we all know that's really who everyone wants to see) could go. We haven't talked about it yet though!
